Pete’s hometown and community, and the place where he was raised.

Pete’s Great Grandfather and Grandfather were Master Canoe Builders, and much of the philosophy of Manido Chìmàn, or “Spirit of the Canoe” is reflected in his Algonquin Tradition of Healing.

Omàmiwinini Pimàdjwowin is both a Non-Profit Corporation and a Registered Charity, established in 2002. Our Mission: to revitalize,
reintegrate, enhance and protect the cultural traditions, customs,
practices, heritage, language, and arts of the Algonquin Nation.

The 8th Fire educates people, all people, who wish to learn Algonquin Healing (or Shamanism as it is popularly known), taking a student who knows little to nothing about it, and educates them to a level of high proficiency in it’s Two-Year Program. Study is also available beyond the Two-Year Program in Mastery Teachings or classes.

Karin is a Reiki Practitioner, Sound Healer, and offers Sprouting
Workshops and is a student of The 8th Fire School of Algonquin
Shamanism. For people who would feel more comfortable working with someone who is soft yet strong, or someone who is a woman, Karin is an excellent facilitator of healing and highly recommended by Pete.
