I remember those days my Beloved When we danced in the teardrops of the Goddess And the only Angels I had ever seen Slid down your cheeks from the windows of your soul, And the rain, the gentle rain so sweet from Heaven, Fell down over the temples of our souls, And we tasted the salt of Her ocean, Her rain washed away our pain.
As the sun above Her crown shone down through Her tears We were every color and shade of the rainbow, And in a time of great darkness, we were the light that shone, A symphony of light and sound, A river of life flowing through everything, In a time that had no numbers, under a sky who’s stars had no names The sands in the hourglass could not drop for us, as we tasted infinity She wrapped us in timelessness, perfect love, and perfect peace.
All was warmth, and that night, we slept in the arms of the Goddess, As our heads rested upon Her shoulder, She said: “Child most beautiful, take shelter in my strength and sleep now, Dream a beautiful dream, and make that dream your life, Do not look for me in death, or pain, or suffering, For you will not find me there, Mine now is a place deep inside of you and all around you, It is a place of light, love, warmth, and all things eternal and beautiful.
And when you have been all that there is to be, And you have seen all there is to see, Then I will call you back to me, As I wait for you in the place where we all come together, And the lives that you have touched will feel as you felt, You will stand where I stood and walk where I have walked, And the children will take you by your hands and lead you to me.
And on that day, I will look into your eyes and say, My Beloved, can you bring the rain one more time? And from your eyes will fall the rain, and the Angels will come, From your eyes I will kiss the tears and taste the salt of the ocean, And once again, we will dance in the teardrops of the Goddess, We will embrace one another, as we embrace life, And we will spin round and round in life and love We will be one until no one can tell where I start and you end And I will whisper into your ear, you have come home to me.”
